1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UrbanSnapHunt website, mobile application, and participation in any UrbanSnapHunt activities.

By making a booking, creating an account, or participating in an UrbanSnapHunt experience, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our services.

3. Our Services

UrbanSnapHunt offers self-guided, app-based urban scavenger hunts in Amsterdam. Participants complete interactive challenges while exploring the city using the UrbanSnapHunt mobile application.

Teams may complete the hunt:

On foot;
Using public transportation; or
By bicycle at their own discretion and risk.

UrbanSnapHunt does not provide bicycles, public transportation, or transport services.

4. Eligibility

Participants must:

Be at least 18 years old; or
Be accompanied by a responsible adult.

By making a booking, the person completing the booking confirms that all participants meet these eligibility requirements.

5. Team Size

Each booking must consist of:

Minimum: 3 participants
Maximum: 5 participants

Larger groups must make multiple bookings unless otherwise agreed in writing by UrbanSnapHunt.

6. Pricing

The current participation fee is:

€35 per participant

Prices include VAT where applicable unless otherwise stated.

UrbanSnapHunt reserves the right to change prices for future bookings at any time.

7. Booking Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been successfully processed.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that all booking details are accurate.

UrbanSnapHunt reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where fraud, misuse, or incorrect information is suspected.

8. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

Comply with all Dutch laws and regulations;
Follow all traffic rules;
Respect local residents, businesses, and public spaces;
Behave respectfully towards other participants and members of the public;
Complete challenges safely and responsibly.

Participants must not:

Trespass onto private property;
Damage public or private property;
Engage in dangerous or reckless behaviour;
Harass or intimidate members of the public;
Perform illegal acts.

UrbanSnapHunt reserves the right to remove any participant from the activity without refund if these rules are breached.

9. Walking, Cycling and Public Transportation

UrbanSnapHunt is designed primarily as a walking experience. Participants may also choose to use public transportation or bicycles.

Any participant choosing to cycle does so entirely at their own risk and confirms they are comfortable riding in Amsterdam traffic.

Participants choosing to use bicycles or public transportation remain solely responsible for their own safety and compliance with all applicable laws.

UrbanSnapHunt accepts no responsibility for accidents, injuries, delays, or damages resulting from the use of bicycles or public transportation.

10. Health & Fitness

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of taking part.

Anyone with a medical condition that could affect safe participation should seek appropriate medical advice before booking.

Participation is entirely voluntary.

11. Alcohol & Partner Venues

Some challenges may take participants to partner bars or hospitality venues.

Purchasing food or drinks is never required to complete the experience.

Participants remain responsible for their own alcohol consumption and behaviour.

UrbanSnapHunt may remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, aggressive, illegal, or excessively intoxicated without refund.

12. Weather

UrbanSnapHunt operates in most weather conditions.

Participants should dress appropriately for the forecast.

Only severe weather or circumstances that make participation unsafe may result in cancellation or rescheduling by UrbanSnapHunt.

13. Mobile Devices

Participants are responsible for:

Bringing a compatible smartphone;
Maintaining sufficient battery life;
Having internet access or mobile data available during the activity.

UrbanSnapHunt is not responsible for interruptions caused by:

Device failure;
Poor internet coverage;
Mobile network issues;
Battery depletion;
Software incompatibility outside our control.

14. Intellectual Property

All content provided through UrbanSnapHunt, including but not limited to:

Software
Game mechanics
Challenges
Images
Logos
Branding
Text
Graphics
Audio
Videos

is the exclusive property of UrbanSnapHunt BV unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, sold, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

15. Participant Photos

Participants will take photographs during the experience.

Where photographs are uploaded through the UrbanSnapHunt platform, participants confirm they have the legal right to share those images.

UrbanSnapHunt will only use participant-submitted photographs for promotional purposes where the necessary consent has been provided.

16. Cancellation & Refunds

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

17. Suspension or Termination

UrbanSnapHunt may suspend or terminate a participant's access without refund where they:

Breach these Terms;
Engage in illegal behaviour;
Endanger themselves or others;
Abuse staff, partner businesses, or members of the public;
Attempt to manipulate or misuse the application.

18. Force Majeure

UrbanSnapHunt shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Extreme weather;
Government restrictions;
Public emergencies;
Internet outages;
Technical failures;
Natural disasters;
Terrorist incidents;
Civil unrest;
Strikes.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Dutch law, UrbanSnapHunt BV shall not be liable for:

Personal injury resulting from participants failing to follow instructions or applicable laws;
Damage to personal belongings;
Theft or loss of personal property;
Missed transport connections;
Delays caused by third parties;
Mobile device failures;
Indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Dutch law.

20. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless UrbanSnapHunt BV, its directors, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or legal costs arising from the participant's own unlawful, negligent, or reckless conduct.

21. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with the UrbanSnapHunt Privacy Policy.

22. Cookies

Our website uses cookies in accordance with the UrbanSnapHunt Cookie Policy.

23. Amendments

UrbanSnapHunt may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on our website.

Existing bookings remain subject to the version accepted at the time of booking unless changes are required by applicable law.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of the Netherlands.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands unless mandatory consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.
